Contact lenses are a fantastic alternative to spectacles particulary for activities such as sport and for people who simply don’t like wearing glasses.
With recent advances in design technology, contact lenses are now more comfortable, easier to care for and are more affordable. Increased options such as moist contact lenses have been introduced, giving patients with dry eyes the ability to wear contact lenses all day comfortably.
Contact lenses are available in a wide range of prescriptions and designs to accommodate occasional or everyday wear to suit a variety of lifestyles.
- Daily disposable contact lenses are recommended for patients who only intend to wear their contact lenses occasionally. Each lens is designed for disposal after one day of use.
- Fortnightly and Monthly contact lenses. These lenses are worn daily, removed, cleaned and kept in contact lens solution at night, and worn again the next day for the specified duration of the contact lenses.
- Sleep-in contact lenses are available to eliminate the inconvenience of removing contact lenses before bed. They allow you to see clearly any time of the day, including first thing in the morning.
- Multifocal contact lenses eliminate the need for glasses, improving the sight for patients at all distances.
- Contact lenses for astigmatism are available in many options to improve all round sight difficulties.
